Tarot is a divination tool, and can be used for guidance, reflection, self-discovery. It consists of a deck of 78 cards, each with rich symbolism that represents universal archetypes, life lessons, and spiritual insights. The cards are a very detailed guide for life, or any spiritual journey!
A tarot reading involves interpreting these cards to support your journey, to explore challenges, uncover hidden aspects of self or to support spiritual growth.
The way I have learned to work with the sacred tarot is through the art of storytelling. And so the readings hold a stream of consciousness quality balanced, with questions and space for contributions. The readings are not about predicting an unchangeable future—more to have a mirror reflecting your inner / outer worlds. You are invited to come with a specific question (or a few) to ask the spirit of the tarot. you can ask for a reading for the year or a general all-round reading covering certain aspects of life. The more specific your question/s can be, the more specific the answers
Practical Details:
I offer a choice of two sessions that differ in length, online or in-person (if you’re in Cornwall):
Ultimately, you have your own agency when working with any divination technique – including the tarot. This is your greatest protection, and combined with spirit, is your sacred gift in the world. The readings are to support your personal power, not to drain it.
Credentials & Honouring the Roots of Tarot
I studied the tarot with Anja Dziedzic – a shamanic healer and tarot reader / teacher at Second Sight Healing – completing a 20 week course in 2022/23, and I have been giving readings ever since! The course itself uses shamanic dreaming techniques to explore the spirit of the cards – how their energy can be experienced. The cards come alive during a reading – possessed by the spirit of the querent, the reader, and by the moment. This is the unique alchemy! We explored the tarot from a traditional, magical perspective, drawing heavily on existing eastern European folk traditions, alongside modern psychological interpretations. We used the shamanic tools of the Medicine Wheel and connection to spiritual allies to support a well-informed training. Above all, we were taught to love the cards, to love their spirit, energy, wisdom and life force, as a representation of all the magic and beauty contained in life – and how this magic can be used to assist others.
This is a rich and lengthy exploration, so I will briefly capture here, but invite you to do lots of wider reading! Tarot is a rich and layered practice with roots that blend art, mysticism, and cultural traditions. Its origins trace back to 15th-century Europe, where the first known tarot decks emerged in Italy.
Initially, tarot cards were not used for divination but as playing cards for a game called tarocchi. Over time, the intricate imagery on the cards began to draw deeper associations, leading to their adoption as tools for spiritual exploration and divination.
The Rider-Waite-Smith deck, created in 1909, is one of the most recognised tarot decks today, but its symbolism draws from older traditions, including the mystical Kabbalah, alchemy, and astrology. However, tarot’s power is not confined to these systems, it resonates because it reflects universal archetypes and human experiences, making it a deeply intuitive tool.
To learn more I can personally recommend studying with Anja at Second Sight Healing, and also with artist, tarot reader and healer Arizona Smith through Purple Diamond Tarot (Arizona is also a magical artist and has painted her own tarot deck, which I use in my readings!)

Sessions can be conducted over Zoom, or in-person at Mount Edgecombe in Cornwall.
If desired, sessions may be recorded on Zoom or phone for personal future reference.
A tarot reading is a deeply personal and reflective experience that provides insight, guidance, and clarity on your current situation. During a reading, we will explore your questions and/or challenges using the symbolic imagery of the tarot cards. Here’s what to expect:
Tarot can help with a wide range of personal and practical concerns, including:
For example: If you’re considering a career change, tarot might highlight hidden fears or opportunities to guide your decision. During a breakup, it might reveal patterns that help you heal and grow. If you’re feeling stuck creatively, tarot can inspire a fresh perspective. If you’re longing to connect with a higher power, s shamanic tarot reading may support with a prescribed ritual. Tarot’s versatility makes it a timeless and beautiful ally in navigating life’s challenges and joys.
You can also come for general reading across many aspects of life, or a reading for the year. There are plenty of spreads to chose from!
People often turn to tarot during moments of vulnerability, curiosity, or transformation. Some deeply human reasons include:
These moments reflect our shared humanity—the longing for meaning, connection, and guidance in the face of life’s complexity
I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes plans need to change. However, to ensure fairness and respect for both our time:

I should say ‘what tarot is not with me!’
While tarot can provide powerful insights, it is a tool—not an authority over your life. Your intuition, choices, and agency are the true sources of power. Giving too much weight to tarot’s messages can lead to dependency or avoidance of personal responsibility.
The purpose of tarot is to empower you, not to control or dictate your life. By engaging with the cards as a collaborative process (with spirit), you honour your own wisdom and use tarot as a guide, not a crutch.
The beauty of tarot lies in its ability to weave together art, intuition, and wisdom into a deeply personal and transformative experience. Each card is a mirror of universal truths and archetypes, inviting you to explore your inner world with curiosity and compassion. Tarot’s symbolism transcends words, connecting you with layers of meaning and insight that speak to the heart as much as the mind.
Tarot is not just a tool for divination—it’s a bridge between the seen and unseen, a way to uncover hidden truths, and a space to hold the complexities of life. Its beauty lies in its ability to help you find clarity, comfort, and empowerment in the midst of uncertainty.
Tarot can be a wonderful tool to ‘think out loud’ and explore challenges and explore decisions in a safe place. I wouldn’t say it was necessary to believe – you can simply take what is for you and leave the rest. And you never know, you may be surprised!
If the sceptical energy is too great though, then perhaps find a different medium to support you.
Please only book if you’re wanting to genuinely explore using this divination tool, it’s not my job to convince you or persuade you of anything. You’re free to believe as you wish and I genuinely wish you all the very best. But I will end sessions if I am asked to ‘provide proof’ for anything, or find that most of the energy is being drawn into debate or persuasion – I have too much shit to do and I won’t play! I will simply end the session.
