Moonseed Women's Circle

Moonseed: A Women’s Circle

Lit Space, Maker Heights |25th May | Pay As You Feel (£5 suggested) | Email to secure your place

Gather. Listen. Share. Remember.

Each new moon, we’ve been meeting in the quiet (metaphorical) dark to honour the stories we carry and the ones waiting to be told. We’ve made a gentle, sacred space for women to come as they are – no masks, no fixing, no pressure.

Join us this month for a powerful evening of shamanic drumming, where rhythm becomes ritual, and the beat of the drum opens a gateway to your inner wisdom, wildness, and deep renewal. 🔥🪶🌑

During the shamanic drumming circle, you can expect a gentle, grounding, and deeply immersive experience designed to help you reconnect with yourself, the land, and the unseen.

Here’s what may unfold:

  • Opening the Circle – We begin by arriving fully and creating a safe, sacred space for the journey ahead.

  • Guided Intention Setting – You’ll be gently guided to set a personal intention or question to carry into the drumming (no need to prepare in advance!)

  • Rhythmic Journeying – Through steady, intentional drumming, you’ll be invited into a light trance state (a liminal space between worlds) where insight, imagery, connection to guides or ancestors, and deep rest may arise.

  • Time to Lie Down & Travel Inward – You can sit or lie down comfortably, letting the drum guide you inward. There’s no right way to experience it.

  • Gentle Return & Integration – We close with space to share (optional), journal, or simply be in the quiet afterglow.

  • No Experience Needed – You don’t need to know anything about shamanic journeying. Just bring your curiosity, an open heart, and a willingness to receive.

✨ Expect stillness, sound, spaciousness—and maybe a surprising whisper from within.

Cost includes warm drinks and nibbles, please bring cash. Email to secure your space (click the button below)27th

  • You long to speak without being judged, fixed, or interrupted
  • You’re curious (or not!) about women’s wisdom, folklore, or cycles
  • You want to be part of something sacred, simple, and real
  • You’re tired of pretending and ready to just come as you are
  • You’re drawn to gentleness, honesty, and deep rest in the company of others

What to Bring:

  • A blanket, or shawl – Something soft to wrap around you if you get chilly.

  • A journal and pen – For noting anything that comes up before or after the journey or sharing circle.

  • A small personal item for the altar (optional) – Something meaningful you’d like to place in the centre as part of our collective space (you’ll take it home with you).

  • Comfortable clothes – So you can sit, lie down, and relax fully.

  • An open heart – No experience needed, just bring yourself, as you are.

You are welcome exactly as you are, there’s no pressure to bring anything other than your presence. But these things can help create a soft landing space for your soul.

Email to secure your place and you can also reach out with any questions or additional access needs to ensure you feel welcome.

*A note on language: I am using an inclusive definition of the word ‘women’, which includes cisgender and transgender women.  Non-binary people are welcome in this space, who feel comfortable and who have experience of being read by society as a woman.

You can visit the Lit & Sauna Space website for a map. The space is up at Maker, where there is on site parking behind and next to the venue.

Email hannakubbutatbyrne and let me know you’d like to attend. You can pay cash on the day

The circle costs £10 (cash)

However, this circle is for every woman, regardless of economic circumstance. If you would like to attend and find yourself unable to meet the exchange cost, please drop me an email. You are still welcome.

There will be hot/cold drinks on offer for folks and a few nibbles.

If you like tea-on-tap (like me) I would bring a flask perhaps!

The circle will last from 4pm start time – 5.30pm finish.

Latecomers are welcome, but I will start at 4.05pm and won’t be able to warmly welcome you with as much generosity compared to arrivals just before we start. Just find a seat as gently and quietly as possible.

Wear comfortable and loose clothing. There is no physical movement, you’ll be sat for the duration. Tight jeans may be a little uncomfortable!

The building is old, but heated. Nevertheless, cover all bases and wear layers. (I’ll be bringing some thick socks just for the extra comfort factor!)

I come to this work as a qualified coach in Relational Dynamics and as a trained shamanic practitioner. I’ve spent years working in circles and sacred spaces – supporting people through deep transition, healing, and self-discovery.

I’ve worked with adults across many walks of life: in corporate leadership, in local authority settings, the criminal justice system, in the arts sector, healing, and in community. My path has taken me through the personal and the professional, through wild grief and joy, and always back to the wisdom of story, soul, and community.

I also have a background in theatre and performance-making, and I’m a writer. These threads have shaped my understanding of how powerful storytelling can be, how it moves through the body, the voice, and the spirit. Performance taught me how to listen for the heart of a story. Writing taught me how to honour it.

In the work I do shamanically, storytelling is not just a way to share, it’s a way to heal. Stories help us meet ourselves with tenderness and truth, and give voice to what so often remains hidden and what we wish to transform.

Circles like this are rooted in ancient ways of being together, where each person is honoured, and where we learn through listening and witnessing, not fixing or advising. All the while in a circle, with equity – I am just a steward in the space.

I don’t come with all the answers, I come to hold space for the mystery, the mess, and the magic of what happens when women gather and speak from the heart.

If you wish to learn more you can read more about my training on other pages on the website.

It’s a monthly story circle for women, held on or around the new moon. Each gathering offers a sacred and welcoming space to pause, reflect, and share stories, beginning with a piece of folklore or myth that invites us into the theme of the evening.

This is invitation only though and acts as a very lose container to the evening. You’re welcome to share along the theme, or not!

This circle is open to all women, including trans women and non-binary people who feel at home in women’s spaces. You’re welcome just as you are, no ‘storytelling’ experience needed, no preparation required.

Not at all. Sharing is always an invitation and voluntary, never an expectation. Listening is just as much an act of generosity as the voice. You are just as welcome to come and listen quietly, receive, and be held in the warmth of the group.

Silence is also a welcome member of the group!

We begin with grounding and a short story, often drawn from women’s folklore or myth. This sets the tone for gentle sharing, reflection, and conversation. You’re free to speak from the heart, about anything that feels alive for you. The space is gently held, non-judgmental, and confidential.

This is not group therapy. It is a peer-led, ceremonial space rooted in the power of story, listening, and presence. While it can be deeply healing, it’s not a substitute for therapeutic or mental health support.

The new moon is a time of stillness, planting seeds, and beginning again. Many traditions honour it as a powerful moment to turn inward, reflect, and dream. Moonseed honours that cycle – a space to connect with ourselves and each other in that spirit.

(Also my favourite time in a month!)

Yes. We ask that what is shared in the circle remains in the circle. If you see someone from the group in your community, please ask for permission before referring to anything shared. We honour each other’s vulnerability and consent in this way.

Just yourself. You’re welcome to bring a notebook, something cosy, or an object for the altar if you wish, but there is nothing you need to do or prepare. Just come as you are.

Introducing Myself...

My name is Hanna Kubbutat-Byrne. I live in Cawsand with my family and I’m a shamanic healer, tarot reader, mentor, and an aspiring writer.

This gathering is deeply connected to my work. We are made of stories; ancestral, personal, collective. In the work I do shamanically, storytelling is not just a way to share; it is a way to heal.

The stories we carry shape the way we live. Some empower us. Some may weigh us down. There is wisdom in both. And sometimes, we need to speak them aloud to truly hear them – to live into them more fully, or to gently weave new ones that honour who we’re becoming.

Alongside personal storytelling, I draw on the power of folktales and myth, especially women’s stories passed down through time. These tales are not just entertainment; they are medicine. They offer maps for the soul, echoing our longings, losses, resilience, and rebirth. Whether it’s a forgotten fable, or something newly imagined, these tales help us make sense of the cycles we walk through.

This is the magic of gathering in circle. Much like in my healing work, whether through shamanic practice, tarot, or deep mentoring – this space is an invitation to listen for the wisdom beneath the surface, to honour what is ready to be released, and to call in what longs to grow. It is a place to meet yourself as you are, to sit inside the quiet hum of something ancient, and to remember the deep well of knowing that lives within you.
